Think Tank
Submitted on May 17, 2007 - 1:52pm The Halverson paper asks: 1) whether the SCALE theory of change can benefit from more attention to the local systems of practice in schools and classrooms that filter, mediate, buffer, and reconstruct all external efforts to improve instruction and learning, and 2) "how the established distribution of leadership and instructional practices within schools provides both a formidable obstacle and an interesting opportunity for SCALE research and reform practice."
