Inquiry-Based Learning Workshop

The purpose of this workshop is to train college mathematics faculty how to use inquiry-based learning methods. Every participant will learn how to implement inquiry-based learning in one of the courses he or she will teach in fall semester 2006. The course should be one of the following: Abstract Algebra, Number Theory, Topology, Analysis, Linear Algebra, or Introduction to Proof. The PI for this Project is Dr. Stan Yoshinobu from CSU Dominguez Hills and is funded by the Educational Advancement Foundation.

Diversity in Mathematics Education

DiME is building an integrated program to develop and enhance the instructional workforce from kindergarten through graduate school. The program consists of three interrelated components: a doctoral/postdoctoral component; a teacher education component for teachers and instructional leaders; and a comprehensive research agenda.
